Severed Ties The Amity Affliction When you listen to a band described as hardcore you don't expect to hear keyboards. Yet, poking its head in-between the loud basslines, throat-burning shouty vocals and heavy guitars is a light tinkly-tinkly keyboard that sounds like it came from the 1980s. I harp on it because it's so totally distracting every time it appears. Keyboards aside, the album is loud, chunky and boasts a cinematic feel courtesy of some (made-up?) movie dialogue and the slasher flick ...
